Invitation to lovers and curious people of dance Contact improvisation
at the Wednesday “jam” with exploratory introduction.

Location: Studio Pierre-Paul Savoie

When: 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (introductions inspired by somatic education) and 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (jam). The jam continues throughout the year with exceptions..

Cost: Contribution of $5 to $10 requested.

Description: At the very beginning of each session, 20 to 30 minutes of explorations inspired by various approaches in somatic education are offered to you. Each session is an opportunity for new discoveries. The body provides multiple entry points where we can go to meet it and then from there to meet the other.

The guidance is initially an invitation to “come home” to enter the body, to occupy the places of our body, to inhabit it fully.
Then, welcome what emerges, let the body guide us with complete confidence and see, over the course of the dances that follow one another, our intertwined stories unfold.
What laughter, delight, contentment and well-being!

The Wednesday jam usually takes place without music, although the voice and sounds produced by the body participate in the dance that is created and their expression is welcome. Musicians can also join in on occasion. There is a piano in the room.

The guided part at the beginning is followed by the “jam” according to the usual free formula. People who do not wish to participate in the initial explorations are welcome to the “jam” from 7 p.m.

Invitation aux amoureux et curieux de la danse Contact improvisation
au « jam » du mercredi avec introduction exploratoire.

Lieu : Studio Pierre-Paul Savoie

Quand : 18h30 à 19h00 (introductions inspirées de l'éducation somatiques) et 19h00 à 20h30 (jam). Le jam se poursuit à l'année sauf exceptions.

Coût : Contribution de 5 à 10 $ demandée.

Descriptif : En tout début de chaque séance, 20 à 30 minutes d'explorations inspirées de diverses approches en éducation somatique vous sont proposées. Chaque séance est l'occasion de nouvelles découvertes. Le corps fournit de multiples portes d'entrée où l'on peut aller à sa rencontre puis de là à la rencontre de l'autre.

La guidance est dans un premier temps une invitation à « revenir à la maison » à entrer dans le corps, à occuper les lieux de notre corps, à l'habiter pleinement.
Puis, accueillir ce qui émerge, laisser le corps nous guider en toute confiance et voir, au fil des danses qui s'enchaînent, se dérouler nos histoires entremêlées.
Que de rires, de ravissements, de contentement et de bien être !

Le jam du mercredi se déroule habituellement sans musique quoique la voix et les sons produits par le corps participent de la danse qui se crée et leur expression est bienvenue. Les musiciens aussi peuvent se joindre à l'occasion. Il y a un piano dans le local.

La partie guidée du début est suivie du « jam » selon la formule libre habituelle. Les personnes qui ne souhaitent pas participer aux explorations du début sont bienvenues au « jam » à partir de 19h.
