Alessia De Salis

Alessia De Salis comes from a background in theatre and dance where play is central to her practice. She has danced for about twenty years and trained in theatre, clowning—which inspires a sense of pleasure and playfulness—Butoh—an approach to the infinitely small, to resonance and deep listening—and physical theatre and the Axis Syllabus, which informs her technique and vocabulary.
She is interested in creating play as a space for encounter and connection, a shortcut that blurs the boundaries between individuals and between our learning processes, in order to nurture knowledge, collective intelligence, and connection. Contact improvisation brings these influences together in a practice where expression, play, and physicality converge.

For several years, Alessia has worked with First Nations communities, exploring how play and games support ways of learning together. This research informs her pedagogical approach. A natural facilitator, she creates sensitive and accessible spaces for practice, conducive to exploration, listening, and the joy of moving together.

Alessia De Salis

Alessia De Salis vient d'un parcours en théâtre et en danse où le jeu est au cœur de sa pratique. Elle danse depuis une vingtaine d'années et s'est formée en théâtre, en jeu clownesque — qui inspire l'appel au plaisir et au jeu —, au butō — l'approche de l'infiniment petit, de la résonance et de l'écoute profonde —, et au théâtre physique et à l'Axis Syllabus, qui informe sa technique et son vocabulaire.
Elle s'intéresse à la création du jeu comme espace de rencontre et de connexion, un raccourci qui brouille les frontières entre les individus et entre nos apprentissages, afin de nourrir le savoir et l'intelligence collective et la connexion. Le contact improvisation rassemble ces influences dans une pratique où l'expression, le jeu et la physicalité se rencontrent.

Depuis plusieurs années, Alessia travaille auprès des communautés des Premières Nations, où elle explore comment le jeu et le ludisme soutiennent des manières d'apprendre ensemble. Cette recherche nourrit son approche pédagogique. Animatrice dans l'âme, elle crée des espaces de pratique sensibles et accessibles, propices à l'exploration, à l'écoute et au plaisir de bouger ensemble.

Andrea Muñiz

Andrea Muñiz is a committed practitioner and facilitator of contact improvisation, first introduced to the form at The Boston Conservatory through Olivier Besson. They value the practice for its deep attunement to agency and authenticity. Their research centers on athleticism and endurance, technique as a tool for efficiency and physical safety, and collective emergent composition. Their teaching integrates anatomy, body patterning, and compositional play.

Andrea has taught regularly at Contact Improv Boston, alongside broader work in dance education. When not at a jam, Andrea is pursuing creative work as a choreographer and performance collaborator, and being a dedicated cat parent to Mercury.

Andrea Muñiz

Andrea Muñiz est une praticienne et facilitatrice engagée de l'improvisation en contact, découverte pour la première fois au Boston Conservatory auprès d'Olivier Besson. Iel valorise cette pratique pour son attention fine à l'agentivité et à l'authenticité. Sa recherche porte sur l'athlétisme et l'endurance, la technique comme outil d'efficacité et de sécurité physique, ainsi que la composition collective émergente. Son enseignement intègre l'anatomie, les schémas corporels et le jeu compositionnel.

Andrea enseigne régulièrement à Contact Improv Boston, en parallèle d'un travail élargi en éducation à la danse. En dehors des jams, Andrea poursuit un travail créatif en tant que chorégraphe et collaborateur·ice en performance, et est une personne dévouée à son chat, Mercury.

Corinne Skaff

Corinne Skaff is an artist, dramaturge, and dance educator, residing between Montreal (Tiohtiá:ke) and Beirut. She is the founder and artistic director of L'atelieCor and its various projects, including La Compagnie Éphémère, S.o.M.A, and the ContactCampBeirut festival. She holds a master's degree in dance from UQAM. She is currently working on DAR, a dance platform for SWANA diaspora artists in Montreal, reflecting the challenges of living and creating in the liminal space experienced by movement artists in exile.

Her movement practice and teaching are influenced by various approaches to contemporary dance, physical theatre, Contact Improvisation, and ecosomatic principles. She approaches dance as a vital practice of self-embodiment and relational container rather than simply as a form of entertainment. In a constant search for meaningful dances within community and personal contexts, her movement and teaching practices draw inspiration from the state of continuous learning through play and the ephemeral, the notions of traces, Homecoming, and Bordercrossing.

Corinne Skaff

Corinne Skaff est artiste, dramaturge et pédagogue de la danse, résidant entre Montréal (Tiohtiá:ke) et Beyrouth. Fondatrice et directrice artistique de L'atelieCor et de ses différents projets tels que : La Compagnie Éphémère, S.o.M.A, et le festival ContactCampBeirut. Elle détient une maîtrise en danse de l'UQAM. Elle travaille actuellement sur DAR, une plateforme de danse pour les artistes de la diaspora SWANA à Montréal, refletant les enjeux de vivre et créer dans l'entre-deux vécu par les artistes du mouvement en exile.

Sa pratique et son enseignement en mouvement sont influencés par diffrerentes approaches de danses contemporaines, du théâtre physique, du Contact Improvisation, et des principes éco-somatiques. Elle aborde la danse comme une pratique vitale d'incarnation de soi et de contenant relationnel plutôt que comme une simple forme de divertissement. En quête constante de danses significatives dans des contextes communautaires et personnels, ses pratiques de mouvement et d'enseignement s'inspirent de l'état d'apprentissage continu à travers le jeu et l'éphémère, les notions de traces, de Homecoming et de Bordercrossing.

Dominique Prud'homme

Dominic Prud'homme : "Movement and dance have always been at the heart of my life. As a child, I was deeply drawn to martial arts, especially Taekwondo, where I cultivated discipline, precision, and a deep respect for the body. This early relationship with movement awakened my sensitivity to grace, beauty, and the quiet power of controlled gestures."

"Later, in a very different setting, I reconnected with my body on the dance floors of raves and after-hours events. During this intense and liberating period of dance, I rediscovered the joy of moving freely—without structure or judgment—a raw and joyful form of expression that reignited my love for dance."

"And yet, something was still missing: connection to others. In 2007, I discovered Contact Improvisation, a true turning point. This practice allowed me to unite movement, listening, touch, spontaneity, and human connection in a dance that is alive and deeply embodied. It became an essential language for me—a space for sensitive exploration, ongoing learning, and genuine encounter."

Dominique Prud'homme

Dominic Prud'homme : "Depuis toujours, le mouvement et la danse sont au cœur de ma vie. Enfant, j'ai été profondément attiré par les arts martiaux, en particulier le taekwondo, où j'ai cultivé discipline, précision et respect du corps. Ce premier contact avec le geste m'a sensibilisé à la grâce, à la beauté et à la puissance silencieuse des mouvements maîtrisés."

"Plus tard, dans un autre cadre, c'est sur les pistes de danse des événements rave et after-hours que j'ai retrouvé un lien instinctif à mon corps. Pendant cette période de danse intense et libératrice, j'ai redécouvert le plaisir de bouger librement, sans cadre ni jugement — une forme d'expression brute et joyeuse qui a ravivé mon amour pour la danse."

"Mais il manquait encore quelque chose : la connexion à l'autre. C'est en 2007 que j'ai découvert la danse Contact Improvisation, un véritable tournant.
