A passionate and committed team
We have brought together teachers who are actively involved in CI practice and in the activities of the ACI.
Some bring extensive teaching experience, while others, though newer to this role, demonstrate a strong potential for transmission and facilitation.
o support pedagogical continuity, each teacher facilitates two consecutive Sundays.

Passage – Partnering in Contact Improvisation

In Contact Improvisation, partnering goes beyond the simple act of lifting.
It unfolds within a quality of presence that creates an environment conducive to the dynamics of movement, rather than forcing or holding.
We will prepare the ground through a warm-up moving from the skinsphere to the kinesphere:
the skin listens, movement organizes itself, and the relationship finds support.
We will explore giving and receiving weight, the trajectories of lifting and being lifted,
as well as the conditions necessary to create a safe environment, fostering fluidity, trust, and mutual attunement.
The lift then becomes a dialogue in motion,
where support, gravity, and dance converge.
Depending on the energy and presence of the group, the exercises may evolve toward more play and challenges.
Teaching will be offered by Stéphanie Gaudreau, guided by over thirty years of practice in Contact Improvisation and somatic approaches, and more recently nourished by the path of kung fu. Trained with the first generations of CI teachers, she honors its foundations as a way of life, where movement becomes transformation, subtle listening, living relationship, and embodied presence.
