Intermediate Level
These classes will be offered by Stephanie Gaudreau to participants who have
integrated the basics of contact improvisation.

Time: Attention! Intermediate classes are at 10:00, half-an-hour earlier than beginners’ classes.
Dates:
- October 2: Sensitivity and perception (tridimentioanl body, presence, clarification of intention in movement)
- October 16: Lifts (part 1) (the law of no-effort, outsmarting your patterns, slowing down to better understand the principles)
- Novembre 13: Rolls (moving comfortably on the floor and expanding the range of movement)
- December 4: Falls (a better understanding of gravity and fluidity in risky situations)
- December 18: Lifts (part 2)

Pierre Boudreau pratique le contact improvisation depuis 1987. Il a étudié auprès de Louis Guillemette, Michael Hébert et Andrew Harwood. Professeur de Taï Chi et de chi gong, il a fait l’apprentissage du Taï Chi en 1976 et fondé l’école Créativité en Taï Chi. En 1995, il a appris le massage-yoga thaïlandais auprès de Kam Thye Chow; il est aujourd’hui enseignant du massage thaï à l’école Lotus Palm.
Pierre a créé l’atelier le Tao du toucher dont le but est de développer la qualité du toucher à travers le massage et le contact improvisation. Bouger et toucher avec écoute, sensualité et générosité tout en demeurant centré constitue le coeur de son enseignement.
Nina Galea est professeur, danseuse et chorégraphe. Ses origines se situent en danse classique et moderne. Elle a enseigné et dansé en Europe pendant plusieurs années.
Nina dirige les volets contemporains aux Collèges Jean-Eudes et Sainte-Anne, où elle enseigne la danse moderne, l’improvisation, le contact improvisation et le mouvement authentique. Nina offre des ateliers d’improvisation et de contact improvisation sur une base régulière à l’extérieur de Montréal. Elle a étudié avec Andrew Harwood, Nancy Stark-Smith, Susan Schell, Martin Keogh… et plusieurs autres. Nina est également chanteuse et photographe.
Stéphanie has studied body language and contact improvisation since 1992. She is a founding member of the A.C.I. and teaches contact improvisation. Her approach is inspired by bodywork, massage, yoga, tai chi, and meditation to make body and spirit present and conscious. Stéphanie is currently training to become an osteopath and runs her own massage therapy practice.
