On Sunday June 12th we will investigate
Enlivening your Contact Points to Deepen your Dance Connection
Discover how weight distribution can increase lightness, agility, and ease in your dance.
Furthermore bringing more awareness and multiplicity to your contact points also increases your versatility of movement making for more dynamic and engaging dances.
Sunday June 19th Fluids in Motion: Feeling into the Fluidity of Dance
Bring awareness to your fluid-body and enjoy graceful dances! How does water move? Humans consist mostly of water.

DETAILS
Beyond the adrenal highs produced by the fast and furious dances we often seek and revel in, there are many subtle layers to the study and practice of Contact Improvisation, which when attended to, unlock the deeper pathways into the intricacies and complexity of the form. Through a dynamic physical collaboration of the senses, along with attention to detail and quality of touch, we will follow our instincts and be guided by what is already in our body in order to access multiple facets of our innate creative wisdom. These little details are of great interest to my greater appreciation and understanding of Contact Improvisation as an “artistic rendez-vous”.

SIMPLICITY
These classes will focus on simplicity. Eryn always teaches the basics of CI in a very straightforward and simple way. She will also be focusing on dancing with injuries, vulnerabilities and honesty.

A BEAUTIFUL CONVERSATION BETWEEN GEODESIC ANIMALS
These classes explore the architecture of bodies in duets.
Sourcing from our anatomical structure, we will look at dynamic alignment sequences, using repetition to develop new habits, and explore the elastic power of our myofascial systems. We will open our attention and perception, while pouncing, pooling, prowling and finding flight, rough touch, and sweet melt!
