Versatile Spiral - Support, Trust, Connect

In this class, we’ll look at how we can use spiralling actions to move in and out through the floor, easing in connections and transitions with one another.
Also, through basic physic principles of weight distribution, we’ll explore various ways to safely give and take weight, offering stable and supple surfaces, building and expanding trust in the process.

Breaking the patterns - a playful exploration

In this class, we’ll recognized them, our patterns, with greater awareness-so that we can expand our range of options and see the infinite potential of our dance.
Approaching the space as our playground, our solo as an opportunity to embrace uncertainty and bodies moving together as a puzzle with no end game.

Biography of Ariane: Dancer, performance artist and teacher originally from Canada. She earned a Bachelor degree in dance from l’Universite du Québec in Montréal and has worked as a freelancer for dance companies in New York City and collaborated on installations, site specifics projects, dance films and publicities with artists of various fields.

Her way of approaching movement is greatly influenced by her curiosity and ongoing studies of contact improvisation, modern dance techniques, urban dances, somatic practices and yoga. She has been teaching dance, yoga and contact improvisation workshops, classes and conducting retreats in academies, festivals & universities, internationally.
