to all members and enthusiasts of contact improvisation.
You are all eagerly invited to this special assembly of our dynamic CI community in constant evolution at the beginning of this autumn. Please come in large numbers and above all be punctual for this significant meeting.The objective will serve to review and explain the fundamental principles of consent, facilitated by Caro, to enumerate and emphasize the guidelines and the role of witnessing during a jam, facilitated by Ariane or David and to participate in a 30 minute ’round-robin’, facilitated by Andrew de Lotbinière Harwood, all culminating with an open jam.The Round Robin is the initial structure that founder Steve Paxton put in place at the very beginning of the practice of CI. This construct includes a limited number of short duets (3 to 5 minutes) within a circle of observers and well-wishers forming an attentive and sympathetic container that contributes to the development of all the evolving dances. It is an effective method to dance with many people, to absorb, to learn and to develop your own dance.
