Bio: Corinne Skaff is a Lebanese dance artist and pedagogue, newly relocated to Montréal to prepare for her Master in Somatic Education and Dance at UQAM. She approaches Dance as a vital self-embodiment practice instead of an entertainment proposition. Her practices of movement and teaching are informed by Contact Improvisation, Contemporary Dance, Physical theater, and Somatic practice principles.
She draws inspiration from the state of ongoing learning through play, and all things ephemeral. She has an interest in transmission strategies and politics, and in fostering communal connections through movement practices. She is the founder of Lebanese CI festival ContactCampBeirut and has taught regularly in Lebanon, Greece, India, Montreal and Malaysia.
