Engaged body, free body!

with Catherine Lessard -
August 5ft – 10th , 2012
– an anatomical approach for dance improvisation and presence

This residential intensive workshop is subtle training and a deep research to liberate the thinking and dancing body. We will support ourselves with different studies extracted from BMC and Release Techniques, to access a satisfying level of physical intelligence and connexion to the environment. We will investigate the incredible possibilities and qualities of our different components: joints, liquids, organs, gaze, head, legs, feet, hands, pelvis, spine, scapula, …

The precious tools explored will allow us to perform improvisations that are both physical and poetic, spontaneous and mastered. We will transpose our discoveries into different improvisation forms, including contact improvisation, solo and group scores.
