WORKSHOPS - november 1st to 4th, 2011

Tuesday to Friday, 6:30 to 9:30pm

Serie of 4 masterclass in contact improvisation with experimented teachers from Montréal, Toronto and Boston.

The ACI is very happy to count the dance department of UQAM as a partner for this 2011 edition of the Festival.

Complete series : 80$ before 15th of october, 90$ after this date.

Per class : 25$ (according to available places).

Massage Space :
Those interested in offering massages can contact us (you must bring your own equipment ; there will be a massage table available).
Massages are given for free and are on an exchange basis.

Performance Evening :
Saturday November 5th
performances 7pm, evening jam 9pm-11pm : Sign up! You have until Thursday, November 3rd!
If you would like to perform, here are some guidelines:
1. Performances are a maximum of 6 minutes long. This year we will have a bell that will sound to indicate the timing.
2. Performances are open to Contact-Improvisation and other forms of dance. Poems, songs and all other forms of sharings, will take place in the Peter-Boneham Studio in which the schedule will be given at the poening circle.
3. If your performance is accompanied by music, please bring a CD with a clear label indicating the title and track number.
4. Performers wanting to perform more than once, can only do so if there is space available after out-of-towners have signed up.
The deadline to send in a proposal is Thursday July 3rd at 5pm. Please send us the names of the dancers, title of the piece and the title of your music to Nicoletta and Valérie : prod@contactimpro.org

Evening Music Jam :
Following the performances of Saturday night, Charles Van Goidtsenhoven will guide you through a Music Jam.


A little surprise… This year we have again rented for our private use a rehab swimming pool that is heated and perfect for water contact dance, and an attached huge 15+ person hot tub for water massage. The pool will be available to us Sunday from 6-8pm so bring your bathing suits and towels, goggles/ snorkel mask . 

Entrance is $5 and you can sign up at registration.
