12th Performances & Jam Evening

Friday Dec. 1, 2006 at 7 p.m., Studio 303.
Contact improv dance sketches followed by an open jam.

Theme:December 1st is the International AIDS Day. So let the theme of the evening be inspired by the strength and the courage of all those whose lives are affected by AIDS in any way.

We invite you to be inspired and to create your performance in any genre, theatrical (spoken word, acting) or musical (live music, song). However, it is strongly suggested that the basic form of any presentation stays contained within the genre of contact improvisation.

To present a performance, please contact
Elisson Zasko at oleskazz@yahoo.com.

Open jam will follow the performances.
Schedule: 7 p.m. - doors open
7:15 till 8:15 p.m. - performances (without waiting for latecomers!)
An open jam follows until 10 p.m.

Where: Studio 303
372 St. Catherine Street West, 3rd floor
Place des Arts Metro (Bleury exit South) / buses 15, 80 & 129

Cost: $7

Do not hesitate to pass on this invitation to your friends, parents, etc.

The next Performances & Jam Evening will take place in 2007.

Guidelines to performers wishing to perform:

A time limit will be set for each performance, in order for the jam to start at the scheduled time. We will grant an absolute priority to performances related to contact improv. Furthermore, we invite you to let yourselves be inspired at least partly by the theme.

And since we want to leave plenty of room to new talents and surprises, we will grant priority to those who haven’t presented any performance at the previous Performances & Jam Evening (Sept. 29, 2006).

Please contact us as soon as possible, since spaces are limited.
