ACI is currently looking for volunteers to join the communication, and teaching & research committees.


1. Communication : 2 persons

Members of the committee are in charge of adding new information to the web site, sending newsletters, keeping an eye on social networks. In addition, we have occasional tasks such as updating various web pages (links, biographies, past events, etc).

Skills required :
- good spoken and written English
- regular availability (every 2-3 days)
- good knowledge of computer and Internet tools
- sense of organization and teamwork

This work is more demanding in regularity than in complexity; a quick training session is enough to do the job. We can discuss which tasks you prefer doing. Anglophones are welcome because it’s still the weakness of the committee...

2. Teaching and research: 1 person

1 more person would be welcome in this committee.

Tasks:
- assure the rotation of sunday morning teachers
- create specific events (stages, labs, performances, conferences)
- assure our international workshop in november
- continue to create a network of quality local teachers
- continue to create a network of quality international teachers (for november and other events)
- continue to establish high standards of teaching, necessary for the transmission of knowledge
- find partners and financial sources for more costly projects (grant applications, co-productions with studio 303 and others etc)
- create various contracts with the CA for different events


Profile:

Someone having a good knowledge of the dance world in Montreal, who has traveled and met CI teachers in other parts of the world,
has participated in various workshops, and has aptitudes in communication and the organizing of events.
