Kelly Keenan

Kelly is a Montreal based dance artist and teacher. Kelly’s teaching references the Axis Syllabus and influential trainings with Steve Paxton on Material for the Spine, Thomas W. Myers on Anatomy Trains (Fascia Science) and her continued training and practice. Kelly has taught locally at Studio 303, RQD, Transformations Danse, Concordia, UQAM and further abroad in Canada, the US and Europe.
Kelly has been seen in the works of k.g. Guttman, Lynda Gaudreau, Catherine Lavoie Marcus, Francesca Pedulla, Sasha Kleinplatz among others. Kelly has collaborated extensively with Kira Kirsch (Berlin & San Francisco). Under the name of Keenan & Kirsch Dance Endeavors they have created two pieces; Species (2009) and Useless Creatures (2011) that have been presented in Montreal, Toronto, San Francisco and Europe. Kelly has been more recently collaborating with performing artist Adam Kinner.
