Bronwen Moen

01. Bronwen Moen

Bronwen, originally from British Columbia, now lives in Montreal where she recently completed an MFA in Studio Arts at Concordia University. Her visual and performance work looks at the permeability of bodies and environments and the vibrant nature of all systems. Most recently she directed a program entitled The Social Change Lab, a one month intensive program of dialogue and embodiment skills for citizens and change makers in Montreal. This included creating and performing within a dance theatre production Rage&Grace (directed by Jeremie Chetrit).
Bronwen has a movement background in Contact Improvisation, Axis Syllabus and Authentic Movement. Before moving to Montreal she studied and performed Equestrian Vaulting (gymnastics on horseback) and Kung fu. These physical, athletic and animal-based practices inform her movement greatly.
